How to Convert PTE Scores to IELTS Bands?
Converting your PTE Academic score to an equivalent IELTS band score is essential for global university admissions and visa applications. While both exams evaluate your language skills across four identical metrics, their score distributions differ completely. Common PTE to IELTS score equivalents
- PTE 50 falls in the 47–54 range, equal to IELTS 6.0.
- PTE 58 falls in the 55–62 range, equal to IELTS 6.5.
- PTE 64 and PTE 65 fall in the 63–70 range, equal to IELTS 7.0.
- PTE 79 is the start of the 79–85 range, equal to IELTS 8.0.
